KINGS POINT, N.Y. - Sophomore Mike Foley (Tustin, Calif.) scored seven goals to lead the No. 13 University of Massachusetts men?s water polo team to wins over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (20-11), Lehman (10-3) and Fordham (17-3), at a CWPA (Collegiate Water Polo Association) League Tournament at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. UMass outscored its opposition, 47-17, and improved to 12-2 overall (7-0 CWPA).
The Minutemen dominated Fordham with the help of five goals from freshman Ricardo Puig (San Juan, Puerto Rico). Kain, and freshmen Brady Hahn (Ypsilanti, Mich.) and Cody Weidauer (Henderson, Nev.) each scored twice in the victory. Santana finished the weekend with another solid game with 10 saves. UMass? all-time record against the Rams is now 9-0.
The Minutemen return to action on Friday, October 1, and Saturday, October 2, at the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, N.J.
