BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The University of Massachusetts men's tennis team, the fifth seed in the Atlantic 10 Tourmnament, fell to No. 4 seed Dayton yesterday by a score of 5-2 in second round of Atlantic 10 Championship action.
Junior Rob Manchester (Attleboro, Mass.) led the Minuteman attack with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles. Junior Bo Navarro (San Diego, Calif.) won his singles match, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 singles. In doubles action the team of Navarro and senior Todd Cheney (South Dennis, Mass.) continued their winning ways with a 8-4 triumph at No. 2 doubles.
Next up for the Minutemen will be seventh seeded Xavier, tomorrow at 12:00 p.m.
