Men's Tennis Completes Day Two At UConn Invitational

STORRS, Conn. - Senior Josh Bainton (Newport, R.I.) advanced into the finals of Flight 4 singles on Saturday, Oct. 16, in the second day of the UConn Invitational in Storrs, Conn.
Bainton defeated Boston University?s Jason Vinoles, 6-3, 6-0 in third-round action and then went on to defeat Joe Lang of UConn, 6-4, 6-3 in the fourth round. Bainton will meet UConn?s Max Zubatsky on Sunday in the finals.
Sophomore Steve Prisco (Dedham, Mass.) fell in the third round of Flight 1 singles to Seton Hall?s Alex Militec 6-2, 6-4. Junior Fabien Rabanal (Lexington, Mass.) captured a win over Annand Annigeri of Boston College 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in third-round action of Flight 1 singles before falling to Eric Scharf of St. John?s in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
In Flight 2 singles, freshman Will Shaw (Norwell, Mass.) fell in third-round action to UConn?s Po Phimvongsa, 6-3, 6-0. Junior Bill Greener (Walpole, Mass.) fell to Cameron Lore of St. John?s in the third round of Flight 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
