Jeannie Burger

A former standout in gymnastics, Jeannine Burger was the first female all-American in school history and was the first woman to be inducted into the UMass Athletics Hall of Fame (Class of 1981).
Burger earned all-America honors in each of her four years. She led the women's gymnastics team to the 1973 National Championship during her sophomore year, the first national title in school history.
During her other three years, the team finished second, third and fourth nationally, missing the 1974 championship by a single point.
