Jackie Gaw

An all-American in soccer and softball, Jacqueline Gaw earned four letters in both sports from 1979-83.
A two-time all-America selection in softball and a soccer all-America selection in 1982, Gaw was UMass' first first-team all-America pick in softball. She was a member of the 1980 softball team that advanced to the AIAW National Tournament and the first women's soccer team to advance to the NCAA Tournament (1982).
As a senior, she captained both the soccer and softball teams.
A native of Springfield, Mass., she earned her degree in business and finance in 1983. She was inducted into the UMass Athletics Hall of Fame in 1999.
