Mullins Center
The Mullins Center serves as the home for the UMass men's basketball, women's basketball and ice hockey teams. The arena formally opened on February 4, 1993, when the men's basketball team posted a 64-59 overtime victory versus West Virginia. The Mullins Center has listed capacities of 9,493 for basketball and 8,389 for hockey. The arena has also been used for convocations, commencement, cultural events, conferences, concerts and fine arts productions, and in 1995 it was the site for the NCAA women's volleyball championship. In addition to the main arena, the Mullins Center includes an Olympic-sized ice hockey practice rink.
