UMass Athletics Hosts Youth Sports Day at Saturday's Football Game

Event includes "Kids Zone" featuring inflatables, face painting, sign-making station and more
AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts Athletic Department is hosting a Youth Sports Day at McGuirk Alumni Stadium on Sat., Aug. 26 in conjunction with the football game against the University of Hawai'i at 6 p.m. Beginning at 4:30 p.m., the event will include a "Kids Zone" inside McGuirk Alumni Stadium open through halftime that features face painting, a gameday sign-making station, inflatable games and a video game arcade.
UMass Athletics will also host a youth football scrimmage on the field at McGuirk Stadium during halftime of the UMass-Hawai'i contest. If you are looking to bring a youth sports team to the game, fill out the group ticket request form and a representative will reach out to you with special ticket pricing and benefits.
Single game tickets - including those for the Fenway Gridiron Series – and season tickets packages are available for purchase now. Tickets to the five McGuirk Alumni Stadium games are available over the phone by dialing 866-UMASS-TIX, in-person at the Mullins Center Box Office during business hours or online here. The Minutemen have six home games in 2017, including five on-campus at McGuirk Alumni Stadium and one at Fenway Park against Maine on Nov. 11 as part of the Fenway Gridiron Series. Start times for all six home games were announced on Thurs., July 27.
Kickoff for the season-opener on Sat., Aug. 26 against Hawai'i will be at 6 p.m. The remaining four McGuirk Alumni Stadium contests – Sept. 9 vs. Old Dominion, Sept. 30 vs. Ohio, Oct. 21 vs. Georgia Southern and Oct. 28 vs. Appalachian State – will all begin at 3:30 p.m. The Fenway Park meeting with Maine on Nov. 11 starts at 4 p.m.
